Begusarai’s NDA candidate Giriraj Singh, who is in the news for his statements in Bihar and across the country, is on the target of the opposition. Recently, on the statement given by Giriraj Singh, India Alliance’s Begusarai convenor and former MP Shatrughan Prasad Singh has also complained about it to the Election Commission. In his letter to the Election Commission, Shatrughan Prasad Singh said that in the Ashirwad Sabha organized at GD College, Begusarai on April 19, Giriraj Singh had told his workers not to ask for votes from pro-Pakistan traitors. After this statement of Giriraj Singh, a situation of tension has arisen in the district.
Shatrughan Pratap Singh further wrote in the letter that at present the candidate should please obtain a written certificate from Giriraj Singh that to his own knowledge there are pro-Pakistan traitor voters in Begusarai. So under what circumstances did he hide this from his own government? His speech also proves that his workers also have information about such voters. Knowing this, as part of calculated politics, with what intention this sensitive matter was kept hidden even from the Home Ministry of its own government.
Shatrughan Prasad Singh also alleged that this is proving that illegal action has been taken by him to defame, terrorize and spread panic about a particular religion during the elections, which is a violation of the code of conduct. Shatrughan Prasad Singh has also objected to the fact that going to the general meeting to file nominations while raising religious slogans like ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and ‘Har Har Mahadev’ also amounts to violation of the code of conduct. This should be investigated and appropriate action should be taken.
It is noteworthy that Begusarai candidate Giriraj Singh, while addressing the common workers in the general meeting of GD College, had said that you should not ask for votes for me from such people who are traitors and supporters of Pakistan. Since then Giriraj Singh has been the target of the opposition.
